Vigilance Awareness Sensitization Programme Conducted at Bengaluru

As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, a sensitization programme for officers and staff was organized today at Anugraha Railway Community Hall, Bengaluru by the South Western Railway, Bengaluru Division. The session was led by A. Annadurai, Senior Deputy General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer, South Western Railway, who delivered a comprehensive and insightful presentation on various aspects of vigilance. He explained the definition, causes, and consequences of corruption, emphasizing its detrimental effects on society and the need for ethical conduct and transparency in all areas of railway operations. He informed the gathering that Vigilance Awareness Week will be observed from 27th October to 2nd November 2025, with the theme: “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”. He explained the importance of the theme and urged all employees to see vigilance as everyone's responsibility and a core value in public service. Speaking on the occasion, Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Bengaluru, stressed the importance of maintaining vigilance in day-to-day duties. The event witnessed active participation from senior officials, including Parikshit Mohanpuria and Praveen Kataraki, Additional Divisional Railway Managers; and other officers and staff of Bengaluru Division.
