Pats-Bucs Stock Watch: Henderson breaks out; special teams struggle

TreVeyon Henderson followed up a good day with a breakout performance and headlines this week's New England Patriots Stock Watch. With starting running back Rhamondre Stevenson missing a second consecutive game, the rookie ballcarrier played a career-high 84 percent of offensive snaps (51 of 61). He turned the opportunity into 15 touches for 150 total yards with a pair of scores and set a pair franchise records in New England's 28-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Our Patriots insider Phil Perry highlighted Henderson's performance -- as well as two players who make their mark in Sunday's win -- in his "Stock Watch" report for Week 10: Stock Up TreVeyon Henderson, running back Breakaway speed. Breakout performance. He had 12 attempts go for just 23 yards. But the other two? Those accounted for 124 and two touchdowns, including the game-sealer. -- Perry Mack Hollins, wide receiver With Kayshon Boutte out, Mack Hollins reeled in six of 10 targets for a team-leading 106 receiving yards. He also continued to be a factor in the run game, helping spring Henderson’s first touchdown run from 55 yards away. -- Perry K'Lavon Chaisson, outside linebacker With another sack, Chaisson now has a team-high 6.5 on the season. His most important pressure of the game came on fourth down in the fourth quarter, when he forced a wild dump-off attempt by Baker Mayfield that was stopped short of the line to gain. -- Perry MORE PATRIOTS COVERAGE Stock Down Special teams Brenden Schooler and Charles Woods were both flagged for holding penalties in this one. Marcus Jones also had a couple of shaky punt-returns — one where he slipped deep in Patriots territory, one that he muffed and recovered. -- Perry Running back health Terrell Jennings left this one early with a knee issue, thrusting Henderson into a larger role (15 touches), and forcing D’Ernest Johnson (elevated off the practice squad) into action. Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) wasn’t ruled out for Thursday night’s game against the Jets when Mike Vrabel was asked about him on Monday. Still, depth at that spot seems dicey. -- Perry
