Netflix issued a crucial message to viewers ahead of the latest series of Selling Sunset . The real estate programme has made its comeback for a ninth series , with stars Chrishell Stause, Chelsea Lazkani, Emma Hernan, Nicole Young, Alanna Gold, Mary Bonnet, Amanza Smith, and Bre Tiesi returning to The Oppenheim Group. Picking up from where season eight left off, this ten-part instalment takes viewers to Los Angeles, where the estate agents' clientele ranges from Jojo Siwa to Tyrese Gibson. Yet, before audiences could watch the opening episode, Netflix delivered a significant message regarding the wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles at the start of this year. Speaking to viewers, the platform stated: "In light of the devastating wildfires that impacted Los Angeles and the surrounding areas in January 2025, we would like to acknowledge that several episodes of Selling Sunset were filmed prior to this tragedy." The message proceeded to thank emergency personnel who sprang into action, reports the Mirror . "Thank you to the first responders, fire fighters and the brave people who worked tirelessly, to protect and restore hope as we rebuild our beautiful city," Netflix added. Whilst the programme begins before the blazes, it explores how the disaster affected The O Group team from episode five forward. Speaking about the catastrophe, Chrishell, 44, shared: "In Los Angeles, I feel like every single person knows somebody that lost everything, it is that ever-present." Marie-Charlotte, who previously worked as Jason Oppenheim's assistant, later popped into the estate agency to open up about her devastating ordeal. She revealed she'd been at home when two blazes erupted close by, prompting her to rush to collect her daughters from school. Tragically, the family were unable to go back to their property as the flames continued to spread. "I have nothing," Marie shared, adding: "So, no more home, no more business. The girls' school burnt. My bank burnt, with the safe. Like, literally nothing." Chrishell herself had previously experienced losing a home to a blaze when she was just 12 years old, and grew emotional whilst thinking back to her own trauma. "...home represents a safe place in the world. And when you don't have that, it's really hard to go through the world and function. So, I just hate that anybody's going through that. It's the worst," the actress explained. Selling Sunset season 9 is streaming now on Netflix
