Around 300 jobs are at risk after the parent company of Fastway Couriers entered receivership. Delays and disruptions to deliveries are expected to follow. Fastway Couriers operates a depot in Letterkenny. Several Donegal-based businesses that use the company’s services have now issued statements. CBM Signs in Letterkenny says it will be appointing a new courier today to continue business as usual, while Firegrates Donegal has advised that some delays or disruptions to its usual service may occur. The Nuvion Group, which includes Parcel Connect, Fastway Couriers Ireland and Nügo has announced its entered receivership, with around 300 direct jobs under threat Hundreds more subcontractor and franchisee roles could also be impacted. Nuvion is blaming inflation, rising costs and market pressures for its collapse. In a statement, it says delays and disruption are envisaged and the receivers will work with retailers to minimise any delays.
