India women's team head coach Amol Muzumdar received a warm welcome at his Mumbai residence following the Women's World Cup 2025 final. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian side clinched the coveted trophy with a 52-run win over South Africa in the final at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai, on Sunday, November 2.Muzumdar resides in the Jai Vijay Society in Vile Parle East, Mumbai. He was honored with a rousing reception from his fellow society members upon his return after India's triumph.The residents displayed a big poster of Muzumdar holding the Women's World Cup 2025 trophy on a wall. The message on the banner read:"Proud of you Amol!!! Jaivijaykars."Amol Muzumdar is a domestic cricket legend for Mumbai. He amassed 11,167 runs across 260 innings in First-Class cricket. Following his retirement, he worked alongside India's Under-19 and Under-23 teams as a batting coach.He also served as the batting coach of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 50-year-old was named India women's team's new head coach in October 2023.The cricketer-turned-coach played a pivotal role in India winning their first-ever Women's World Cup title.
