The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team hosts Delaware State Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. Syracuse won its first game of the season 85-47 at home against Binghamton Monday. True freshman Kiyan Anthony was the story, as he scored 15 points in his collegiate debut. The son of Carmelo Anthony was thrust into a larger role when J.J. Starling — the Orange’s leading scorer last season — went down early with a lower-body injury. Anthony played a team-high 29 minutes, shooting 6-of-10 from the field and 1-of-3 from beyond the arc. There’s no official injury update for Starling yet, though Syracuse coach Adrian Autry said he “would be fine”. Anthony would start in Starling’s place if he were to miss Saturday’s game against Delaware State.
