Final week of TTFL regular season begins tonight The final week of the V.I. Education Department’s Territorial Tackle Football League’s regular-season schedule begins today on St. Thomas. Charlotte Amalie High School will take on St. Croix’s Central High School at the Ivanna Eudora Kean High stadium, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for Friday, but officials with the Education Department’s Sports and Athletics Department moved the start up a day to avoid having to play on Halloween and the potential security issue that may arise. The second game on the Week 6 schedule — St. Thomas’ Ivanna Eudora Kean High against St. Croix Educational Complex at the Complex stadium — will remain in its original Saturday slot, with game time 3 p.m. The two teams have played each other once this season, with the Hawks (3-2) pulling out an 8-2 victory over the Caribs (1-4) on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Central High field. Charlotte Amalie High, the league champion in 2017, has already qualified for the TTFL’s championship game against the undefeated Devil Rays (5-0), who have won the league title the past three seasons (2018, 2019, 2024). The TTFL’s title game will be played Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Kean High stadium. Good Hope Country Day to hold beach volleyball tourney Good Hope Country Day School is now accepting entries for its annual varsity beach volleyball tournament, set for next month on St. Croix. The beach volleyball tournament will be played Saturday, Nov. 22, and Sunday, Nov. 23, at Frederiksted Beach on St. Croix. The field is open to any high school varsity program, with each school limited to a maximum of two teams with two player each, plus a fifth player as an injury substitute. The entry fee is $100 per team. The tournament will be played under National High School Federation beach volleyball rules. The entry deadline is Friday, Nov. 7. WEDNESDAY’S RESULTS Junior Varsity Flag Football St. Croix Educational Complex 22, CJM Homeschool 12: The Barracudas defeated the Bulls on Complex’s home field to win the St. Croix Interscholastic Athletic Association league championship. Terrance Charles Jr. led the way for Educational Complex, accounting for two of the Barras’ scores. He threw a touchdown pass to Aiden Pringle, then ran for the second. Jaheim Creque also scored for Complex, returning an interception for the Barracudas’ final touchdown. No information was available on who scored for CJM Homeschool. Middle School Flag Football Antilles School “B” 28, Gifft Hill School 14: The Hurricanes’ “B” team downed the Barracudas in their St. Thomas-St. John Interscholastic Athletic Association league game on St. John. No other information was available on the game. Up next: The season wraps up Saturday with the league championship game between Antilles School “A” and Antilles “B” at Lionel Roberts Stadium. Game time is 11 a.m. Elementary Baseball Yvonne Milliner Bowsky Elementary School 6, Jane E. Tuitt Elementary School 5: Playing for the second time in 24 hours, the Marlins held off the Jets’ late rally to win their St. Thomas-St. John IAA league game. Tuitt Elementary (3-6) had taken a 2-0 lead at the bottom of the first inning, only for Bowsky Elementary (3-5) to respond with four runs in the top of the second and two more in the top of the third to go ahead 6-2. The Jets rallied in the bottom of the third, scoring three time to cut the Marlins’ lead to a run, but couldn’t score in the fourth to end the game. No other information was available on the game. Ulla Muller Elementary School 5, Antilles School 2: The Panthers broke a tie game in the bottom of the third inning to defeat the Hurricanes in their St. Thomas-St. John IAA league game. Muller Elementary (8-2) scored twice in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead, but Antilles School (3-4) responded with a pair of runs in the top of the second to tie the game. But the Panthers put the win away in their half of the third inning, scoring three times and shutting out the Hurricanes in the final two innings to win. No other information was available on the game. Up next: One game is on the schedule today at Emile Griffith Ball Park, with Ulla Muller Elementary School taking on Jane E. Tuitt Elementary School. Game time is 4:30 p.m. TUESDAY’S RESULTS Middle School Flag Football Antilles School “B” 29, Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School 12: The Hurricanes’ “B” team downed the Blazers in their St. Thomas-St. John IAA league game. Colin Sammy caught two touchdown passes — a 30-yarder from Cam Martinez and a 20-yarder from Max Martinez — for Antilles School B. Tucker Edwards also scored on a 40-yard run, and Cam Martinez caught a TD pass from Max Martinez. Patrick Mitchell caught a one-point conversion pass from Max Martinez. On defense for the Hurricanes B, Sammy Asfour had a pair of safeties. Tomas Alejandro accounted for all of Boschulte Middle’s points, scoring on touchdown runs of 60 and 70 yards. Gifft Hill School 21, All Saints Cathedral School 12: The Barracudas defeated the Vikings in their St. Thomas-St. John IAA league game. Colt Smith scored all of Gifft Hill School’s points. No information was available on who scored for All Saints Cathedral. Elementary Baseball Jane E. Tuitt Elementary School 12, Yvonne Milliner Bowsky Elementary School 1: The Jets rolled past the Marlins to win their St. Thomas-St. John IAA league game. Tuitt Elementary (3-5) took the lead with a pair of runs in the top of the first inning, then padded it with five more runs in the top of the third and fourth innings. Bowsky Elementary (2-5) broke the shutout by scoring its lone run in the bottom of the fourth. No other information was available on the game. Elementary Flag Football Eulalie Rivera K-8 School 30, Pearl B. Larsen K-8 School 6: The Rams advanced to the St. Croix IAA league championship game by rolling past the Dolphins in their semifinal matchup at the Good Hope Country Day School field. Jayceon Greaux threw for three touchdowns — to Jah’Shy Francis, Juan Charles and Lauriel Francis III — as well as caught a two-point conversion pass for Rivera K-8 School, which will play Ricardo Richards Elementary School for the league title today at Good Hope Country Day. Game time is 4 p.m. Richards Elementary advanced to the final by beating Alfredo Andrews Elementary School in Monday’s other semifinal game. No score was available for that game. Jah’Shy Francis also ran for a touchdown, and Lauriel Francis III and Luis Tricoche caught two-point conversion passes for the Rams. On defense, Greaux led Rivera K-8 School with six flag pulls, Charles and Demari James had four flag pulls each, and Jah’Shy Francis, Lauriel Francis III and K’Andre Alexander made three flag pulls apiece. Larsen K-8 School’s only points came off a touchdown pass from Zachori Schmidt to Synaii Stoute. Elementary Softball Free Will Baptist Christian School 8, Pearl B. Larsen K-8 School 5: The Warriors held off a late-inning rally by the Dolphins to win their St. Croix IAA league opener. Free Will Baptist (1-0) took the lead by scoring five runs in the bottom of the first inning, then tacking on three more runs in the bottom of the second. Larsen K-8 School (0-1) rallied in the top of the third, but fell short by scoring just five runs. No other information was available on the game. Lew Muckle Elementary School 7, Alfredo Andrews Elementary School 5: The Lions rallied from an early deficit to beat the Blazers in their St. Croix IAA league opener. Andrews Elementary (0-1) took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, but Muckle Elementary (1-0) responded with four runs in the top of the second to take the lead. The Blazers scored again in the bottom of the second to pull within 4-2, but the Lions added three more runs in the top of the third. Andrews Elementary mounted a late rally, scoring three runs in the bottom of the third. No other information was available on the game.
