Two Aurora men, both 18, are facing felony charges after police responded to a business alarm activation early Friday morning and found damage to two businesses along South Eola Road, the Aurora Police Department said in a news release Monday. At around 2:13 a.m. on Friday, Aurora police were dispatched to the 2300 block of South Eola Road because of a business alarm, per the department. There, officers found damage indicating forced entry and saw a vehicle leaving the area, according to the police department. Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle moments later, which led to the recovering of items allegedly connecting those in the car to the scene, the release stated. According to the initial investigation, two businesses had been targeted and have damage consistent with burglary, the release said. The Will County State’s Attorney’s Office has since approved charges against Andrew G. Gajdalo, 18, of Aurora, and Brevin S. Koering, 18, of Aurora, in connection with the incident, per the news release. Gajdalo is being charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools and criminal damage to property, according to the police department. Koering is being charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools. Both were taken to the Aurora Police Department for processing and were issued a future court date, the release said. The incident remains under investigation, the release said. The Aurora Police Department is asking anyone with information to call its Investigations Division at 630-256-5500.
