The Black Friday sales are up and running, with huge discounts up for grabs at some of the biggest retailers. Black Friday proper may still be a few weeks away, but several major brands have kicked things off early. Shoppers looking for a deal can find price cuts across UK retailers as the sale season gets underway, so we’ve pulled together a selection of our favourites. There are discounts worth hundreds of pounds with Shark ’s vacuum cleaner range, while Ninja is offering 30% off a range of kitchen appliances, including its popular air fryers. Apple fans can bag themselves a MacBook Air for its ‘lowest price ever’. Those in the market for a new TV and broadband package can secure a number of Black Friday deals at Sky . As well as £120 off, the latter comes with free subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+, providing even more savings when taking advantage of this month. Despite the official date falling on November 28, the sales prove that shoppers can bag an early discount. With that, here’s our favourite tech deals so far in the Black Friday sales. As we pick the best deals from Shark, Ninja, Apple, Sky, and Argos' offers for Apple shoppers. Shark has slashed £200 off its PowerDetect Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner , which is said to deliver Shark’s ‘most powerful’ cordless suction. This particular deal is for the exclusive, limited edition black model, which also includes six accessories, including a free car detailing kit. The PowerDetect features Shark’s signature Anti Hair Wrap technology, preventing tangles by removing hair from the brush-roll during cleaning. It’s also designed to work in both forward and reverse, while the PowerFins Detect function automatically detects dirt, edges, corners, and floor type to optimise its cleaning performance. It can also run for up to 70 minutes, longer than the 60-minute runtime of more expensive rival models like the Dyson V11 Extra (£348). The PowerDetect Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner has earned a near-perfect 4.9-star rating, with shoppers hailing its suction as ‘second to none’. One buyer noted a minor niggle, saying: “I miss the feature from my old Shark where you could press with your foot to remove the floor head. It was so convenient.” Ninja’s Double Stack XL Air Fryer was a big seller when it launched last year, now there’s £90 off the new Cyber Space colourway. This model comprises two vertically-stacked drawers yet is designed to fit under kitchen cabinets to save space. It can evenly cook four layers of food with the included meal racks and a choice of six functions: Air Fry, Max Crisp, Roast, Bake, Dehydrate and Reheat. Its 9.5L capacity is said to be ideal for feeding eight people, while an integrated probe lets users know when food is cooked to perfection. Ninja fans say the Double Stack XL is ‘easy to use’ and ‘cooks wonderfully’, while some have found foods may need ‘a little flip’ for the best result. For shoppers seeking a more budget-friendly model, Debenhams is offering the Daewoo 10L Megadrawer Air Fryer for £79.99 (was £119.99). Shark shoppers can also find a £150 discount on this Cordless Stick Vacuum with Auto Empty System . What makes this model stand out is its Auto-Empty function, which automatically deposits dirt into a sealed base unit, holding it for up to 30 days, so users don’t have to worry about emptying for longer periods. The base also charges the vacuum, providing up to 40 minutes of run-time, while its brush-roll automatically adjusts to clean carpets and hard floors. Other features include LED lights to illuminate hidden debris, with an included crevice tool and pet multi-tool. A similar deal is available at Amazon , where the same model costs £198. The Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum has achieved a 4.2-star rating, with users saying it ‘completely transformed’ their cleaning routine. They added: “What really stands out is the Clean and Empty feature, emptying the dustbin is quick, mess-free, and hygienic.” However, this buyer said: “While it does an okay job for light cleaning, it struggles with heavier messes.” The Ninja Detect Power Blender and Processor Pro is now £60 off for the new Cyber Space model, which serves as a traditional blender, food processor and personal blender all in one device. It boasts 20 versatile functions and BlendSense Technology, which automatically detects ingredients and adjusts its settings for the best results. Along with the blender, buyers will also receive accessories including a jug, food processor bowl, two single-serve cups, and several blades for crushing, chopping and shredding. With a 4.7-star rating, shoppers say the Detect Power Blender is great for smoothies, soups and vegetables. However, one buyer deducted a star from their review as they found it loud when in use. An alternative and lower-cost option is the NutriBullet 600 Series Blender , now £50 (was £70) at Argos. There are countless price cuts in Sky’s Black Friday sale, but what caught our eye is the Ultimate TV and Full Fibre 500 bundle . Now priced at £39 per month, it’s the best price ever offered for more than 135 channels, Netflix, Discovery+ and 500Mbps broadband. All this usually costs £44, meaning customers save £120 over the 24-month term. There’s also the option to customise the bundle with add-ons like Sky Sports or faster broadband speeds up to 900Mbps. Just keep in mind that, as with most TV and broadband providers, Sky will increase its prices each April, so the price at sign-up will go up at least twice over the next couple of years. It comes as Virgin Media launched its own Black Friday sale on the same day as Sky, offering three months free across its TV and broadband packages, as well as up to £200 to cover switching fees. Apple fans in the market for a laptop upgrade may want to head to Sky Mobile, where the MacBook Air M2 is down to its ‘lowest price ever’ of £17. The deal is available when spreading the cost over 48 months, with the option to upgrade after 36 months. The model in question is the 2022 edition of Apple’s sleek Air range, boasting 256GB storage and a choice of Starlight or Midnight colourways. There’s a small £2 upfront cost with the deal plus a 100MB monthly data allowance, but this won’t be enough for most people if using it on the go, so consider increasing this at additional cost. For those preferring to buy outright, Argos has slashed the same model from £999 to £699. Sky is also offering a similar cost-splitting deal on Apple’s latest model, the MacBook Air M4 , for £22.
