The deadline for Wolverhampton secondary school applications is approaching - here's how to apply if you haven't already done so

Applications must be submitted by midnight this Friday (October 31, 2025) – and while over 85 per cent of families in Wolverhampton have already done so, many are yet to submit theirs. To apply for a school place, parents should log on to www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/admissions and complete the short application process. Parents and guardians will be notified of their child’s allocated school place on March, 2 2026. Councillor Jacqui Coogan, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Education, said: “There are only a few days left until the deadline, so if your child is in their final year at primary or junior school, it’s vital you get your application in now, if you haven’t already. “It might feel like secondary school is still a long way off, but time is running out. The process is quick and simple, and applying before the deadline will give you the best chance of securing a place at a preferred school.” Applying online has a number of benefits – applications can be made through a secure website and viewed and edited online up to the closing date for applications on October 31, 2025. Applicants will also be able to access their child's school allocation online on March 2, 2026, rather than having to wait for a letter in the post. For help and advice about the admissions process, please visit www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/admissions or call the Admissions and Appeals Team on 01902 551122. Anyone who needs help making their online application is invited to attend the final School Application Surgery being held at the Civic Centre, St Peter's Square, Wolverhampton, WV1 1SH on Thursday, October 30 from 10am-2pm.
