Special to the American Press The Better Business Bureau Serving Southwest Louisiana is inviting residents to take action against identity theft by participating in a free Community Shred Fest 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Prien Lake Mall. Items such as bank statements, tax records, or documents with Social Security or personal information should never be thrown away intact. At Shred Fest, Southwest Louisiana residents can bring up to three boxes of documents to be commercially shredded by Reliable Document Storage & Shredding. This is a safe, drive-thru event, with volunteers on hand to remove boxes from vehicles. To ensure efficient shredding, paper must be dry and free of mold or mildew. Please note that spiral-bound documents cannot be accepted. The event is completely free and open to the public because of Title Sponsor Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and Supporting Sponsor Stutes & Lavergne. For more information, contact the Better Business Bureau Serving Southwest Louisiana at 337-478-6253.
