NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, are making moves beyond the football field — and Mahomes’ mother, Randi, is celebrating the moment. Brittany Mahomes has been named to the National Women’s Soccer League’s inaugural advisory board, a new group designed to help guide the league’s next stage of growth. Patrick and Randi Mahomes both shared the announcement on Instagram. Randi added a heartfelt message congratulating Brittany and praising her growing impact outside football — especially in advancing women’s sports. The 20-member NWSL board will begin its work in 2026, focusing on marketing, fan engagement, brand development, and player growth. It marks a major step for a league rapidly expanding its commercial footprint. Brittany joins a high-profile group that includes Alex Morgan, Magic Johnson, Ken Griffey Jr., and Eli Manning. Each member will represent one or more of the NWSL’s 14 clubs and serve as mentors and ambassadors for the league’s future. NWSL Board Gives the League a More “Professional” Look NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman called the new advisory board “a pivotal development” for the league’s evolution, noting that the members’ diverse experience will help turn women’s soccer into “not just a league, but a movement.” Other prominent names include Sue Bird and Eli Manning (Gotham FC), Chris Paul and Julie Foudy (Angel City FC), Brandi Chastain and Sabrina Ionescu (Bay FC), and Olympic champion Lindsey Vonn (Utah Royals FC). The blend of athletes, investors, and cultural icons underscores the NWSL’s ambition to grow its reach beyond the pitch and attract new audiences across sports and entertainment.
