Ohio AP football rankings 2025: Kirtland tops Division VI, St. Edward third in Division I

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Associated Press released its updated state football rankings on Tuesday after a vote by writers across Ohio. St. Edward is ranked third in Division I, trailing unbeaten Cincinnati Elder and Olentangy Orange. Meanwhile, half of the top 10 in Division II is Northeast Ohio teams. Avon holds the highest spot among them at No. 2, trailing Cincinnati Anderson, which the Eagles beat in last year’s state title game. Highland, Archbishop Hoban and Wadsworth also represent Northeast Ohio in the top five, while Walsh Jesuit is eighth.
