Big-screen OLED TVs are often hard to find at a great price. Although Black Friday deals are still ramping up, you'll find ample discounts across retailers on various sets, and I think I've stumbled across some serious savings on one of our favorite OLEDs. Right now, you can buy the 77-inch LG C5 OLED TV for $1,996 on Amazon. While that might still seem expensive, that's the lowest price we've seen the 77-inch C5 on the retailer, marking it down nearly $1,700 off the original MSRP. As one of the best OLED TVs to be released this year, the LG C5 OLED is a serious winner. Proving my point, it's one of the only OLED TVs we've given a perfect score this year, highlighting not only its exceptional price-to-performance but also the numerous improvements it has seen over last year's model. And, it's truly no joke. It offers excellent brightness for an OLED TV, hitting a high of 1,179 nits in HDR content and covering just under 100% of the UHDA-P3 gamut. These metrics, tested in our labs, highlight the C5's brilliant HDR performance, ensuring that Dolby Vision content looks stellar on that 77-inch screen. One of the most exciting aspects of the C5 OLED is its upscaling abilities, offering major improvements to 720p and 1080p content. I got to see its upscaling potential for myself at an event in NJ, where I watched two versions of the same baseball game in 4K and 720p. Both looked identical, showcasing just how advanced the C5's new processor and AI upscaling are for those who love watching sports. You can also expect the LG C5 OLED to have some of the most advanced gaming features in the market. Ripping through Silent Hill f on a 77-inch OLED will be just as frightening as it sounds, and it's made even better with a fully fledged gaming menu that you can adjust on the fly.
