Netflix halted the newest series of Selling Sunset to deliver viewers a crucial message. The property programme has made its comeback for a ninth run, featuring stars Chrishell Stause, Chelsea Lazkani, Emma Hernan, Nicole Young, Alanna Gold, Mary Bonnet, Amanza Smith, and Bre Tiesi returning to The Oppenheim Group . Continuing from where the eighth series concluded, this ten-part offering transports audiences to Los Angeles, where the estate agents' clientele ranges from Jojo Siwa to Tyrese Gibson. Yet before audiences could watch the opening episode, Netflix delivered a significant message regarding the wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles earlier this year. Speaking to viewers, the streaming platform stated: "In light of the devastating wildfires that impacted Los Angeles and the surrounding areas in January 2025, we would like to acknowledge that several episodes of Selling Sunset were filmed prior to this tragedy." The message proceeded to show appreciation for emergency workers who sprang into action, continuing: "Thank you to the first responders, fire fighters and the brave people who worked tirelessly, to protect and restore hope as we rebuild our beautiful city." Whilst the programme begins before the blazes, it explores how the disaster affected members of The O Group from episode five forward, reports the Mirror . Looking back on the catastrophe, Chrishell, 44, remarked: "In Los Angeles, I feel like every single person knows somebody that lost everything, it is that ever-present." Marie-Charlotte, the former assistant to Jason Oppenheim, later visited the estate agency and shared her heart-wrenching ordeal. She recounted how she had been working from home when two fires erupted nearby, prompting her to rush to collect her daughters from school. However, due to the spreading fires, they were unable to return home. "I have nothing," Marie confessed, adding: "So, no more home, no more business. The girls' school burnt. My bank burnt, with the safe. Like, literally nothing." Chrishell herself had previously lost a home to a fire at just 12 years old, and became tearful as she reflected on her past. "...home represents a safe place in the world. And when you don't have that, it's really hard to go through the world and function. So, I just hate that anybody's going through that. It's the worst," the actress explained. Selling Sunset Season 9 is streaming now on Netflix
