The EastEnders actress, 43, called out the Celebrity Traitors star, 44, in the summer during an episode of her podcast. She revealed that Paloma, who was in the year above, was one of her bullies as they attended the same secondary school in London. Now, the star has doubled down on the claims she was bullied, suggesting it may have been because of her early success, after joining the cast of EastEnders when she was just 10 years old. Appearing on Katherine Ryan’s What’s My Age Again podcast on Tuesday, she commented that her favourite place to be was on the set of the soap, explaining that school wasn’t a haven because of her jealous peers. ‘There wasn’t anywhere else I wanted to be. That was my happy place. Maybe because when I wasn’t there, school was difficult, people were jealous,’ she said. So I always just wanted to be there because it was so fun and I was surrounded by nice people.’ She didn’t directly call out Paloma, as she did just a few months ago on her own podcast. The celebrities both attended the same secondary school, Islington Green School, now called the City of London Academy Islington, and Natalie grew up in Islington while Paloma was raised in Stoke Newington. ‘Paloma Faith, she bullied me at school. She went to Islington Green and was in the year above me,’ she said on her podcast Life With Nat in June. She then revealed that the pair had cleared the air since leaving school. ‘We’ve spoken about it and she has said sorry about that,’ Natalie said. In 2012, she tweeted: ‘Yes I got bullied at school. I had braces and before that, wonky teeth.’ Paloma has also previously spoken about having a fantastic time at secondary school, despite it being ‘very rough’. ‘I had an amazing education there. It’s funny because at the time I did my exams it had one of the worst reputations in the country. ‘But I have to say the teachers were incredible,’ she said in 2010 to the Tribune.
