A man was rescued after a car was flipped onto its side and smashed onto the pavement in a horror crash in Trafford on Monday afternoon (November 3). Police, paramedics and fire crews raced to Norris Road in Sale following the collision, which involved one vehicle. Witnesses claimed onlookers rushed to help after the driver became stuck inside the car. He was later rescued and transferred to the care of paramedics. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Shortly before 4:50pm this afternoon (Monday 3 November), two fire engines from Stretford and Sale fire stations were called to attend a road traffic collision involving one vehicle on its side on Norris Road, Sale. “Crews arrived quickly and found one casualty trapped inside the vehicle. Working alongside Greater Manchester Police , firefighters safely extricated the casualty, who was then transferred into the care of North West Ambulance Service. “Firefighters were in attendance for around one hour."
