A hostile man allegedly went up to a neighbor — whose house he previously threatened to burn down — and yelled that “He better be using the U-Haul to get out of here,” because all the neighbors wanted him gone. The venomous man capped it off by telling him to “bite the bullet.” The neighbor asked officers to counsel and arrest the man for the night. Officers spoke with both parties, who agreed on one thing: to have no contact with each other. Death waits for no one and neither do impetuous drivers. People at an intersection reportedly started yelling at each other over traffic stopped for a funeral procession, and someone called the Kalispell Police Department, voicing concerns about how fired-up people were. Officers received a later call about a semi-truck driver involved “in an event going on” who allegedly drove around a vehicle in the outside lane, stopped, got out and screamed at the driver, who told officers the incident almost caused them to be T-boned. Officers received a voicemail requesting extra patrols from someone who reportedly expected emotions to be high among people as the “government shutdown takes effect,” although no specific threats had been made at the time. Two boys and a girl in a dark-colored car were allegedly doing doughnuts in a parking lot for about 10 to 15 minutes before someone called the police, certain that the reckless driving would lead to a person or a car being hit. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived at the scene. Someone visiting the valley on business for Amazon reported suspected credit card fraud. After using a pre-paid business card to pay for a meal, where an employee took the card behind the counter to enter it manually, the visitor later discovered a $700.12 charge in Melbourne, Australia, shortly after the meal charge. The card had also been used earlier in Kalispell. Police requested that the report be forwarded to the Columbia Falls Police Department.
