From screen recordings to studio-quality videos: How Trupeer.ai is democratising software content creation

For software teams, creating product tutorials, onboarding guides, or internal training videos takes both time and money. The process is chaotic as live sessions require coordination, screen recordings appear unpolished, and hiring agencies or studios can cost thousands of dollars. Trupeer.ai, a Bengaluru-based startup, is changing this. Founded by Shivali Goyal and Pritish Gupta, the startup's AI-powered platform transforms simple screen recordings into professional-quality videos and step-by-step documentation in seconds. Videos generated by the startup come with AI voiceovers, visual enhancements, AI avatars and even subtitles and translation in over 50 languages. “Most tools fall into two categories. Either they’re basic screen recorders that just capture your screen, or they’re complex video editors that require time, expertise, and effort to produce high-quality content. Trupeer combines the polish of pro-level videos with the simplicity of a screen recorder,” says Goyal, CEO and Co-founder of Trupeer.ai in an interaction with YourStory. Headquartered in the US with Bangalore being the main operating office, the startup was founded in 2025. Currently, it's a team of 13 members with plans to expand to 10-15 more employees across engineering, marketing and sales by the end of this year. The idea for Trupeer.ai emerged from Shivali Goyal’s own experiments with AI. A self-taught technologist and serial builder, Goyal had been exploring voice AI and other tools when a Fortune 500 IT company asked her: “Could you turn this voice AI into a video? We’d use it to onboard our customers.” The request sparked the concept that would become Trupeer. Shivali joined forces with Pritish Gupta, a former BCG colleague, and together they conducted hundreds of conversations with SaaS founders, IT leaders, and CX teams. They discovered a universal pain point: creating professional-quality product content was slow, expensive, and hard to scale. This insight became the foundation of Trupeer.ai. Trupeer says it is already transforming workflows across industries. IT directors rolling out new ERP systems can replace months of manual training with multilingual tutorials, helping companies like Diageo cut IT video production time by 87%. “Software should be easy to explain,” says Goyal, CEO and Co-founder. “Trupeer allows anyone to turn a simple recording into a polished video that’s clear, searchable, and ready to scale—without requiring professional video skills.” A scalable, self-serve business model The market opportunity is massive. Video is already the dominant format for workplace communication, with 91% of businesses using it and most planning to create even more content in the coming year. The global AI video generator market size was estimated at $554.9 million in 2023 and is projected to reach $ 1,959.24 million by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 19.9% from 2024 to 2030. The demand for video content is rising, considering the growing acceptance of visual environments across businesses. Trupeer taps into this growth by providing a scalable, humanlike solution for product marketing, training, and customer success content. Startups like InVideo and Hypergro.ai are also operating in this space. Trupeer operates on a subscription model starting at $49 per month, delivering 20 minutes of video—roughly 100x cheaper than traditional production methods. Some of its prominent clients include Zuora, Siigo, Gainsight and Ema. Looking ahead The company recently raised $3 million in a seed round led by RTP Global, with participation from Salesforce Ventures and strategic angels from Fortune 500 companies. The funding will accelerate global expansion, add new video formats, enable personalisation at scale, and integrate Trupeer with CRMs and learning management systems. For instance, Trupeer has recently launched Trupeer Knowledge Base, which it says it the world's first AI video-search platform. "Imagine an AI agent that doesn't just guide a user, but also recommends the right video to watch." Goyal said about Knowledge Base. “The long-term vision of Trupeer is to become a central knowledge hub for organisations, where any piece of product information, workflow, or process can be created, shared, and accessed instantly,” adds Goyal.
