Lakers' Luka Doncic Makes Hilarious Admission Amid Historic Start

The Los Angeles Lakers continue to love the benefits of having somebody like Luka Doncic on their roster. Doncic has done nothing but score the basketball at an elite level during his time in the NBA, but his recent stretch might be one of the best in NBA history. More news: Luka Doncic Makes NBA History in First Game Back From Injury With Lakers With his third straight 40-point game to open up the season, scoring 44 points against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night, he joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only players to score 40 points in three straight games to begin the season. So that’s the whole point, trying to help the team to win. And sometimes it’s going to be scoring, sometimes other things.” Hilariously, Doncic revealed why keeping the streak alive won’t be too easy. When asked if he had an opportunity to be the only other player in NBA history to ever average 40 points in a season outside of Chamberlain, he stated that some of his shots on Friday night weren’t good ones, going as far as saying that they were terrible shots, in fact. “That’s going to be tough,” Doncic said. “Sometimes they’re going to double me more. Sometimes I won’t be able to score that much. I had I think three or four shots that were crazy shots that I felt like doing, but they were terrible shots. … I’ve got to work on that. But that’s tough. I don’t know.” More news: Lakers’ LeBron James Announces Exciting Personal News A tough shot for Doncic isn’t the same tough shot for everybody in the NBA. He has the ability to make any jumper he takes, which was evident on Friday in his impressive showing in a remarkable comeback win for the Lakers against a tough Grizzlies team on the road.
