The Chicago Bulls have been one of the more surprising teams in the NBA to start the season, sitting at 5-0 with some impressive wins. More news: Warriors’ Steve Kerr Responds to Michael Jordan’s Criticism on Issue in NBA After a 135-125 victory against the New York Knicks on Friday night, with Josh Giddey finishing with 32 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists, it looks like Chicago might’ve found its point guard of the future as well as a potential All-Star. Giddey was traded to the Bulls from the Oklahoma City Thunder in a deal involving Alex Caruso, a move that many criticized Chicago for making due to Caruso’s impact on the defensive side of the basketball. When speaking to reporters after the game, he also made a slight comment about being wanted, possibly a shot at his former team, which had decided to move on from him. “I’m in a place where I’m wanted,” Giddey said, per Joel Lorenzi. “I love being here, I’m happy here… that’s what we need as a player – to have the belief of everybody around you. It propels you in the right direction.” More news: Bulls, Mavericks Trade Idea Sends $36 Million Star to Dallas Playing for the Bulls is an honor in some sense, as they’re one of the more historical franchises in NBA history. Giddey also had a nice little payday this offseason, and if he continues to play this way, he’ll only continue to make more in Chicago if both sides want to continue this relationship long term.
