Kaulig Racing's Daniel Dye has been named the 2025 Comcast Community Champion of the Year. The award honours his contribution to mental health awareness by donating $60,000 to his non-profit organisation, Race to Stop Suicide.The non-profit was started by Dye after he lost his cousin to suicide. The organisation has now grown into a national movement with community outreach, school visits, church events and speaking engagements.Dye has also partnered with Kaulig Racing to run custom Race to Stop Suicide paint schemes during Mental Health Awareness Month in May and Suicide Prevention Awareness Month in September.Comcast commended his efforts and called his work 'a movement that's changing lives'. Meanwhile, two other finalists will also receive a $30,000 donation to a charity of their choice.Reflecting upon the honour, Dye said (via NASCAR's official website),“I’m super proud that this mission is getting talked about more. It means a lot to me, to my family, and to our communities. Being named the Comcast Community Champion is a big deal, and the fact that we’re able to raise more awareness is really what it’s all about. This isn’t a race you can ever truly win, but we’re doing everything we can to run up front and be leaders in this mission.”The No.10 Chevrolet driver has finished the season 20th in points. The 21-year-old has grabbed eight top-10s in his 33 starts this year.Kaulig Racing president reveals reason for Xfinity Series exitLast week, Kaulig Racing announced plans to pause its Xfinity Series outfit. The team's two full-time drivers, Christian Eckes and Daniel Dye have both finished outside the top-10 standings and have failed to make the playoffs.In the team's 10-year tenure with Xfinty Series, it has achieved two consecutive championships in 2021 and 2022. Notably, Kaulig parted ways with Josh Williams midway through the 2025 season.In an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR radio, Kaulig Racing president Chris Rice, clarified his stance on the sudden exit.“The Xfinity Series is where we were born and raised. We have made a choice that we need to focus really hard on our [Truck Series] program and our [Cup Series] program to push it forward. So, you guys will see us back in [the] Xfinity Series in the coming years, but we gotta pause it for a little bit," he said. In other news, Kaulig Racing has partnered with RAM as its OEM in the Truck Series. As such, they're the only team with two different OEMS under their banner.The team's Truck Series outfit is a serious step with five full-time entries. Three of their driver lineups have been confirmed so far. In addition to Brenden Queen, Justin Haley and Daniel Dye have been named as the new additions. Notably, Haley was just ousted from Spire Motorsports to make way for Daniel Suarez.
