Jaxson Dart’s Father Lashes Out at Brian Daboll After Giants Coach Denies Responsibility

Brian Daboll just can’t stay out of the spotlight. After getting fined $100,000 by the NFL for a concussion protocol violation during the Giants‘ week 6 game against the Eagles while “checking on” his starter Jaxson Dart, he’s back in the headlines again after the 34-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. But now, things have totally flipped. The same player Daboll was once worried about is the one whose own father is bashing Daboll. Jaxson Dart’s father, Brandon Dart, was recently spotted on social media, liking an X post that bashed the New York Giants, captioning, “Gives this team his all every week and gets absolutely nothing in return smh.” It also includes a picture of Jaxson Dart on the sidelines in pain. We all know Dart loves to use his legs to make big plays, but honestly, it appeared as a risky business for him in the last game. Though the rookie gave a convincing performance by completing 24 of 33 for 191 yards and led the team with 56 yards on 9 carries, he took several hits and was sacked twice, including that nasty one from the 49ers’ defensive end Clelin Ferrell. Luckily, he did not fumble or get hurt, but this led the head coach under scrutiny. Criticisms have been directed regarding the offensive protection and the decisions in the game, but Daboll is appearing to dodge the blame. If we would have held them there, get the ball back with, say, 50 seconds, so we are going to try to play til the end there. That’s what we’re going to do.” Even when asking about the defense, which showed no signs of improvement, giving up more than 30 points for the third straight game, he said, “None of us did a good enough job.” Well, the Giants’ defense was a mess out there, giving up 159 rushing yards and 380 total yards to a 49ers team that’s dealing with injuries, too. It felt like they couldn’t stop anything all game long. The Niners picked up 221 yards through the air and pounded the rest on the ground. Honestly, there’s just no excuse for the Giants’ defense to look that flat against a banged-up squad.
