Jack Grealish's commitment behind the scenes has earned praise from Everton colleague James Tarkowski . The English winger has been performing brilliantly for the Toffees since leaving Manchester City this summer. Grealish became the most expensive British player in history when he joined City in 2021 from Aston Villa for an eye-watering £100million and that hefty price tag brought significant pressure. He found it difficult to make a real impact at the Etihad despite collecting numerous trophies. This summer, Grealish wanted a temporary move away and ended up on the blue side of Merseyside. He has emerged as a key player under David Moyes at Everton, contributing four assists and one goal in the Premier League so far. His loan agreement includes a £50m non-obligatory purchase clause . There's been plenty of discussion about Grealish's behaviour off the pitch, which he came under fire for his time with the Blues , but colleague Tarkowski is equally impressed with the 30-year-old's work ethic during training as he is with his match performances. "He has been [so good]," Tarkowski acknowledged, speaking on That Peter Crouch Podcast . "I think I've realised there's another level of footballer that I've never played with before. "There is something about Jack when he gets the ball at his feet. There is something about his composure, his calmness, you just get this feeling that he's never ever going to lose the ball. "If he does, it's like a shock. But we've got good people around him who are helping him out. And he's helping us out in a way, too. He just seems like a good fit. "I mean, he comes with a massive reputation Jack. Both on and off the pitch. But since I've met him he's been top top class off the pitch and top top class on the pitch. He's great around the place. Gets on with everyone. Really personable. The amount of times I've seen him parked outside the training ground signing autographs for ages. "There's way more kids turning up for autographs now than there was six months ago! I'll tell you that. The fans love him but he's sort of showing that back to them with the way he treats people. It's been great. As I say, there are other people around him who are doing really well and helping him out as well. But he has been exceptional." It's not only Grealish's team-mates who have been won over by the player. Boss Moyes has also repeatedly heaped praise on Grealish following his impressive early impact. Moyes commented in August: "He is even better than I thought. He probably needs a bit of love and attention. He needs the games as well. Hopefully he starts building on it and he gets even better as the season goes on. He is making a big difference. "So all credit to him. He is playing the minutes he may not have had in recent years. You know, he's so good. What Jack gives us is something just on the edge, which, hopefully it's on the edge of creativeness and maybe scoring goals."
