The police will seek legal advice in a complaint against Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] district secretary E.N. Suresh Babu who had raised allegations of sexual misbehaviour against Shafi Parambil, MP. Congress Palakkad block committee and Alathur block general secretary Pramod had filed a complaint seeking legal action Mr. Babu. The police said they would proceed with the legal advice as the complainants were third parties. But Mr. Babu stuck on to his stand, threatening that he would reveal more if provoked. He said the Congress was free to proceed with their complaints. However, other CPI(M) leaders like N.N. Krishnadas and A.K. Balan refused to support Mr. Babu in his allegations against Mr. Parambil. They said they did not have any proof against Mr. Parambil and that Mr. Babu might have.
