I’m A Celeb 2025 star shares cryptic post after split as they prepare for jungle stint

A mega star has posted a cryptic message on social media ahead of her rumoured appearance on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here ! Former EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, who recently ended her engagement to David Bracken, seems to be doing some soul-searching before she heads off to Australia. The 34 year old shared a black and white video on Instagram in which she is seen applying and then removing her make-up, before the clip transitions to colour. Alongside the video, Shona included lyrics from her new song Unapologetically Me. She penned, "I'm finally learning to just be me, no filters, no apologies, no shrinking to make others comfortable. It's a new beginning, and this time I'm stepping into life with open arms and an open heart. I've spent too long second-guessing, dimming my light, trying to fit into spaces that were never meant for me. "But now, it's about freedom, being comfortable in my own skin, owning my story, singing LOUD, with all my flaws, and my fire. This is the start of really living, fully and authentically. From here on out, ...I'm .. 'unapologetically me'.", reports the Mirror . Shona is among the celebrities speculated to be jetting off to Australia for the upcoming series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here. Shona - who is best known for playing Whitney Dean in the BBC soap - has reportedly separated from David following a year-long engagement. The couple became engaged during summer 2024 but have now apparently ended their relationship. A source told The Sun, "They are on amicable terms, but have ended their romantic relationship. There are no hard feelings, they realised they wanted different things and are better off as friends. Shona is now focusing on her music and career." The couple first connected on TikTok just over two years ago, and David, who rose to fame as part of Blessed, proposed during a romantic picnic in Kensington, West London. However, the special moment nearly didn't happen when police officers arrived on the scene. At the time, David said: "I went over to the police, who said, 'Sorry we are just closing up the park'. I said, 'Would you mind giving me five minutes as I am about to propose to my partner?'". "He looked at his watch and said, 'Of course, and best of luck!'' So, I told Shona to go stand at the waterfall in the park. I then put on our favourite song and had a dance with her before getting down on one knee." Shona later revealed she was completely unaware of how close David's proposal came to being disrupted. She said: "David went over to speak to them and I had no idea what he said because I was just eating cheese and crackers." In an exclusive joint interview with OK! to announce their engagement, Shona and David revealed that the location of the proposal added an extra layer of significance. David had chosen a serene spot in the park known as Kyoto Garden - a place that holds great meaning for Shona. She elaborated: "I love Japanese culture and the spirituality of it. He brought a picnic which was really sweet. It was lovely, I was in my element but I didn't think he was going to propose at all."
