UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII >> Jonah Laulu, Raiders defensive line: The Raiders were on a bye this week. They will play the Chargers on Sunday. Head Coach Pete Carroll has been impressed by him, saying that he was one of the first guys he saw on tape and asked himself ‘why isn’t he a starter?’ He has never beaten the Chargers in three tries but had two sacks against them earlier this season. >> Rigoberto Sanchez, Colts punter: Unleashed four punts for 189 yards with one of them inside the 20 and none of them returned in the win over the Titans. He also served as holder on Michael Badgley’s five successful kicks. >> Jahlani Tavai, Patriots linebacker: Came off the bench in the win over the Browns, collecting three tackles, with one of them for a loss and two stops on special teams. He tied Isaac Sopoaga with his 22nd tackle for loss, good for fifth among UH players. >> Alohi Gilman, Ravens safety: Was one of three safeties to start in the win over the Bears, collecting four tackles and batting down a pass. His pass defensed was his fourth of the season, as many as he had all of last year. One of his tackles came on kickoff coverage, he just started playing special teams again this season after two years of playing mostly defense. >> Dillon Gabriel, Browns quarterback: Completed 21 of his 35 throws in the loss to the Patriots, covering 156 yards with two touchdowns. He threw two interceptions and was sacked once while taking off on his only run for 13 yards. His first career tackle came on his first career interception. >> Darius Muasau, Giants linebacker: Started in the loss to the Eagles, collecting his two tackles in three plays at the end of the second quarter. It was his career-high sixth straight start and he has a tackle in 14 straight games. >> DeForest Buckner, Colts defensive lineman: Started in the middle in the win over the Titans, collecting a sack among his two tackles and hitting rookie quarterback Cam Ward one other time. It was his first time with multiple sacks since last year’s season opener. He has played the Titans 11 times in his career, tied with the Rams and Texans as his most common opponent. He has four or more sacks in each of the last eight years, more than anyone else taken in the 2016 NFL Draft. >> Kaimi Fairbairn, Texans kicker: Made all six of his kicks in the win over the 49ers, four field goals ranging from 30 to 37 yards and two extra points. He has not missed a kick in three straight games and hit four field goals in a contest for the first time in more than a year. He handled seven kickoffs with one touchback and one that landed short of the zone for a penalty, but with the new rules his touchback percentage is 16%, his previous career low was 36% in 2021. >> Andrei Iosivas, Bengals receiver: Was shuffled back to the bench in the loss to the Jets as Cincinnati started with a two-tight end set and didn’t have a catch on three targets, all of them on the final drive, including the final play. It was the third time this year he has been held without a reception. >> Marist Liufau, Cowboys linebacker: Made two tackles in the loss to the Broncos, one of them on a punt return for his second special teams tackle of the season after having four last year. His streak of starts ended at four as Dallas went with a 4-2-5 defense but got gashed on the ground for 179 yards. SAINT LOUIS >> Nick Herbig, Steelers linebacker: Came off the bench to make two tackles, one of them forcing a fumble, in the loss to the Packers. He hit the quarterback once, his eighth straight game getting to the quarterback. Herbig was whistled for unnecessary roughness on a punt in the fourth quarter, the fourth penalty of his career and first since the second week of the season. >> Marcus Mariota, Commanders quarterback: Will get his third start of the season against the Chiefs in place of Jayden Daniels, his sixth appearance on Monday Night Football, where he has a 4-1 record. He will play in his fourth successive game. He hasn’t done that since 2022 with the Falcons. >> Jonah Savaiinaea, Dolphins offensive lineman: Started at left guard in the win over the Falcons, helping the running game earn 141 yards and keeping quarterback Tua Tagovailoa from only being hit twice. He has not missed a snap in his rookie season. >> Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins quarterback: Took the field with a swollen eye and wearing a visor for the first time and still led his team over the Falcons. He completed 20 of his 26 passes for 205 yards and four touchdowns while taking one sack and not having a rushing attempt. It was his first four-touchdown game this season and fifth of his career. He has 115 career touchdowns in the air, passing his mentor Trent Dilfer’s 113 in 58 fewer games. >> Roman Wilson, Steelers receiver: Hauled in the first touchdown reception of his career with a 21-yard effort in the fourth quarter of the loss to the Packers. It was originally called an incomplete pass but he got the points after replay assist. Wilson is the 63rd receiver to catch a touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers. He finished his breakout game with four catches on five targets for 74 yards to lead the team after catching four passes on five targets in his previous six games. It was his second career start.
