A Hollywood icon has shared a birthday selfie and people are convinced he's celebrating in a stunning part of Wales. Christopher Lloyd, who turned 87 this week, appears to have taken a trip to the coast to mark his special day. The actor first rose to fame in 1975's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and went on to star in other Hollywood blockbusters such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit and The Addams Family. However, he is most renowned for his portrayal of the quirky scientist and time traveller Dr Emmett Brown, better known as 'Doc', in the Back to the Future trilogy. He starred alongside Michael J Fox in the successful films, which were released between 1985 and 1990, with the original film particularly hailed as one of the most popular and best science fiction movies of all time. Interestingly, the film also celebrates its own birthday this week. Back to the Future is primarily set on October 26, 1985. That is the day Marty McFly originally travels back in time in the DeLorean time machine to 1955, reports Wales Online . On Lloyd's birthday on Wednesday, October 22, a number of selfies were shared from his Instagram account, which has 1.3 million followers. The caption read: "Everyone join us in wishing our favourite selfie king a happy birthday. We love you so much Christopher! You've brought so much joy around the world. Let's show him love today and every day." Eagle-eyed South Wales Life, an entertainment magazine with almost 30,0000 Instagram followers, were convinced 'The Doc' was braving the autumn weather alongside the Pembrokeshire coast. The magazine shared the post and said: "As our favourite 'Doc' celebrated his birthday this week we wonder if Christopher Lloyd did it in the best way possible? In Wales of course. That's an awfully familiar Pembrokeshire coastline." We hope Lloyd enjoyed his break along the coast, and whatever he was doing to celebrate the night of his birthday, we hope he got back in time.
