Historian and writer M.R. Raghava Warrier has been chosen for the Kerala Jyothi award, the highest civilian award instituted by the Kerala government, for his contributions to the field of education. The State government on Friday evening also announced other Kerala Puraskarams, the highest awards given by the government to distinguished personalities who have made outstanding contributions in various spheres of social life. Farmer P.B. Aneesh and dancer Rajashree Warrier have been chosen for the Kerala Prabha Award for their contributions to the field of agriculture and arts respectively. Sasikumar (journalism), T.K.M. Trust chairperson Shahal Hassan Musaliyar (education), Genrobotics co-founder M.K. Vimal Govind (startup), Abhilash Tomy (sports) and Jilumol Marriot Thomas (for her achievements in various sectors) have been chosen for the Kerala Shri award.
