Hexing Group, which owns the Livoltek brand in Romania, marks its first year of activity on the local market and announces a turnover of approximately 76 million lei (around EUR 15 million) for 2025. At the same time, the company aims to double its market share in Romania and consolidate its development plans in the region to cover the growing demand for energy solutions in Europe and the Middle East. Hexing owns business lines such as Livoltek, a manufacturer of photovoltaic energy equipment, and Zlink, a manufacturer of smart water meters and water management solutions. In its first year of activity in Romania, Hexing grew rapidly, becoming one of the main suppliers of inverters and energy storage batteries for the local market, as well as smart metering, through the group’s only factory in Europe, one of the largest in Romania and Eastern Europe, operating in Giarmata, Timiș County. The company currently has 70 employees in the factory and local offices, with a prospect of tripling the number of employees in 2026, and a national network of over 22 distribution partners and over 100 authorized installers, supported by a logistics warehouse and a technical center in Timisoara, which ensures fast deliveries and specialized local support. “Romania has proven to be a mature and receptive market for green energy solutions. In our first year of activity, we exceeded 10 million euros in the first 10 months, and we estimate a total of approximately 15 million by the end of the year — a confirmation of the correct strategic direction and the trust of our partners.” The demand for photovoltaic solutions is on a clear upward slope, supported by rising energy prices, European green transition policies, and support programs such as REPowerEU. The market has matured significantly: customers are better informed, they demand integrated solutions, with storage and consumption management, and real estate developers include solar systems from the design phase, as part of BREEAM and LEED certifications. Romania has enormous potential, not only as a consumer market, but also as a regional hub for production and know-how in renewable energy”, declares Oliviu Burlacu, general manager of Hexing Europe, the group of which Livoltek Romania is part. The most requested products in the company’s portfolio are hybrid inverters, Livoltek storage batteries, and charging stations for electric vehicles, followed by BESS modular systems for commercial and industrial applications, as well as monitoring equipment, solar cables, and protection panels dedicated to photovoltaic installations, smart meter equipment for electricity and water. Around 80% of Livoltek’s business on the local market is generated by residential projects through the Casa Verde, REPowerEU, and ElectricUp financing programs, but also through private investments made directly by homeowners. The rest of the sales targeted commercial and industrial projects, including photovoltaic parks, logistics buildings, and production units that integrated Livoltek’s solutions for self-consumption and energy efficiency. The largest projects implemented so far include commercial and industrial photovoltaic systems of hundreds of kilowatts in Timiș, Cluj, Ilfov, and Constanța, as well as integrated energy storage works in parks and production units, but also warehouses, places of worship, and student dormitories. The company also invested in education by developing the Livoltek laboratory at Politehnica University, where over 2,000 students learn about photovoltaic energy. A special moment of the year for Livoltek was the CSR project in Cluj, where the first concert in Romania powered entirely by photovoltaic energy took place, through a system developed by the company that generated energy in real time. It also invests in sports and supports the local mini football team from Timiș County in the regional championship.
