NBC Sports videographer fell about 50 feet from a scoreboard in Pittsburgh onto a catwalk below and was subsequently rushed to the hospital in critical condition the night before the hometown Steelers hosted the Green Bay Packers. According to a post on Pittsburgh Public Safety's X page, the person fell around 10pm on Saturday night as Acrisure Stadium was undergoing preparations for Sunday's Packers-Steelers game. 'Rescue medics were able to reach him and lower him to safety,' read the statement. 'He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.' WTAE.com's Lily Coleman reported the man's injuries were primarily to his lower body. The worker has yet to be identified, publicly. However, reporter Marty Griffin said the person works as videopgrapher for NBC Sports, adding that OSHA has opened an investigation. A Steelers spokesperson later told WTAE the injured person was installing production equipment at the time of the accident. Daily Mail has reached out to NBC Sports and OSHA for comment. However, OSHA's media relations staff is currently on leave during the ongoing federal government shutdown. Sunday proved to be a frustrating day for Steelers fans as star receiver DK Metcalf suffered an on-field meltdown during the 35-25 defeat. The veteran wideout was seen grabbing Green Bay linebacker Quay Walker's facemask and aggressively jabbing him in the eye, resulting in a costly fourth-quarter penalty. 'You're down 10 and it'll be 3rd and 2 and Dk Metcalf does this for it to be 3rd and 17. This is inexcusable,' one social media user wrote alongside a clip of the incident. 'DK Metcalf is a moron for this,' another posted. 'Losing the Steelers the game.' 'DK METCALF WITH ANOTHER CRASH-OUT AFTER A DEFENDER GOT IN HIS HEAD, TRASH-TALKING HIM,' one account added.
