Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has donated GH¢100,000 to support the medical treatment of those injured in the tragic stampede at the El-Wak Sports Stadium during a military recruitment exercise. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, claimed six lives and left around 28 people injured after thousands of hopeful applicants thronged the venue for Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) enlistment screenings. Mr. Bagbin visited the victims at the 37 Military Hospital on Thursday, accompanied by Parliament’s leadership, to commiserate with the injured and their families.
