Amrita Mukherjee continued to dazzle at the ongoing Pickleball World Cup as she delivered yet another remarkable performance, this time claiming the silver medal in the Women’s Singles 4.5 category at Florida, US on Friday morning (Indian Standard Time). Coming off a historic gold in the Under 34 Mixed Doubles (5.0) event earlier in the tournament, Amrita once again showcased her skill, composure, and fighting spirit on the courts of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her journey through the women’s singles draw was a display of tactical precision and relentless determination, as she battled some of the world’s top amateur players to reach the final. In a closely contested title match, Amrita fell just short of the gold, settling for a well-deserved silver medal - a feat that further cements her status as one of India’s leading pickleball talents on the global stage. Earlier, Amrita had paired up with Suraj Desai to secure India’s fifth gold medal of the tournament, defeating Venezuela’s Arianna Raga and Vladimir Orellana 15–11 in a thrilling mixed doubles 5.0 final. The duo’s chemistry and composure under pressure were instrumental in delivering one of India’s standout victories of the campaign. With a gold-silver double to her name, Amrita’s stellar performance has added yet another proud chapter to India’s growing presence in world pickleball. With Amrita’s silver, India’s medal tally rose to 11, comprising five gold, four silver, and two bronze medals.
