Dolphins Receive Major Trade Update From NFL Insider

This has been a miserable season for the Miami Dolphins and their fans so far. Even though the Dolphins looked good on Sunday when they defeated the Atlanta Falcons, 34-10, they hold a 2-6 record, and it looks certain that they will miss the playoffs again. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s production has fallen to earth — he’s tied for the most interceptions in the NFL with 10 — and they have been without star wide receiver Tyreek Hill for their last four games. In the meantime, they have had to deal with rumors that head coach Mike McDaniel is on the hot seat. The NFL’s Nov. 4 trade deadline is rapidly approaching, and Miami could be a seller. ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter said that either Jaelan Phillips or Bradley Chubb will be dealt before the deadline. “I think the Dolphins will move at least one of their pass rushers, Jaelan Phillips or Bradley Chubb.” “I think the Dolphins will move at least one of their pass rushers, Jaelan Phillips or Bradley Chubb.” – Adam SchefterVIDEO pic.twitter.com/W3EgBrdABW— Joe Schad (@schadjoe) October 29, 2025 Read more: Tom Brady Upset About Naming New Top NFL Team Phillips and Chubb are arguably Miami’s two best pass rushers. Phillips has put up two sacks and six quarterback hits in eight games this year, and he seems to have bounced back fairly well from the torn Achilles he suffered late in the 2023 season. He had played in only eight contests that season and in four contests in 2024. He missed all of last year, and so far this year, he has four sacks, seven quarterback hits and five tackles for loss. But even though both men have played fairly well this season, the Dolphins’ defense has been poor. They rank 26th in points allowed, and in particular, their run defense has been very weak. Sunday’s win over Atlanta was the first time all season that they had held an opponent to under 100 rushing yards.
