The Los Angeles Dodgers are on the brink of elimination as the defending champions head back to the Rogers Centre for World Series Game 6 against the Toronto Blue Jays. More news: Drake Trolls Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers as Blue Jays Take 3-2 World Series Lead All-Star third baseman Max Muncy had a message for the Dodgers following the team’s 6-1 loss Wednesday night, which gave the Blue Jays a 3-2 series lead. “You just gotta win one game. You win one game at a time, that’s what I keep saying all the time. It’s not gonna be easy, but you can’t think of winning two games on the road,” Muncy said to the team. “We just gotta win one game. You can’t think about two, just one at a time. That’s all we’re focused on is winning this next game.” "We just gotta win one game. Three runs were not enough to match the Blue Jays, who have scored 12 runs in the last two games. “We gotta hit the ball. You look at what they’re doing and they’re putting the ball in play a lot and finding spots,” Muncy said. “We’re not putting the ball in play a lot, and when we do, it seems to be finding their gloves so we gotta find a way to get the ball in play a lot more.” LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – OCTOBER 29: (L-R) Mookie Betts #50, Max Muncy #13, Tommy Edman #25 and Freddie Freeman #5 of the Los Angeles Dodgers wait during a pitching change in the seventh inning against the Toronto Blue Jays in game five of the 2025 World Series at Dodger Stadium on October 29, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Luke Hales/Getty Images) Manager Dave Roberts echoed Muncy’s call to action as the Blue Jays have outperformed the defending champions offensively in nearly every game of the series. “You clearly see those guys finding ways to get hits, move the baseball forward, and we’re not doing a good job of it,” Roberts said following the Dodgers’ Game 5 loss. “I thought Yesavage was good tonight mixing his fastball, slider, and the split. But, yeah, you still have to use the whole field and take what they give you, and if they’re not going to allow for slug, then you’ve got to be able to kind of redirect and down club — or club down to take competitive at-bats, and you see whether it’s Barger or Bichette. You know, those guys are doing it. “But again, we have that ability. We’ve got to make some adjustments.” Nobody is discounting the Dodgers’ talent, but they’ve certainly put their chances of becoming repeat champions in jeopardy.
