Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes got the week off from college football action last weekend, taking their bye as they prepare for this coming Saturday's matchup against the Utah Utes. After a disappointing 2-4 start to open up the season, the Buffaloes entered their bye week with some positive momentum — upsetting the No. 22 ranked Iowa State Cyclones with a 24-17 final score at Folsom Field on Oct. 11. Sanders and his Colorado squad are now looking to close out the year strong with five more regular-season contests. During a recent practice, Coach Prime openly called out Colorado players who've already "quit" on the team. "Let's work today. Let's work today. Let's work today," Sanders said. "Some people out here are just out here. They already quit. They already shut it down because they know they have no future in this. But the rest of ya'll do. Separate yourself today from the ones who already shut it down. Separate yourself today. I want to see who's who today." More Football: Browns’ Kevin Stefanski Defends Controversial Shedeur Sanders Decision Colorado quarterback Kaidon Salter put forth a solid effort in the Buffaloes' win over Iowa State, completing 16 of his 25 pass attempts for 255 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Eight of those pass completions went to wide receiver Joseph Williams, who finished the game with a team-high 128 receiving yards and one touchdown. The Colorado defense also showed up in this win, holding the Cyclones to just 2/12 on 3rd-down attempts and forcing an interception from quarterback Rocco Becht. The Buffaloes' four losses came against Georgia Tech, Houston, BYU and TCU. Saturday's game against Utah will kickoff at 10:15 p.m. ET from Salt Lake City's Rice-Eccles Stadium.
