Cluj is preparing for the third edition of the Cyber Security in Energy Forum

Between October 30 and 31, Cluj-Napoca becomes the center of national debates on the protection of critical infrastructures, with the organization of the third edition of the Energy Cybersecurity Forum, a landmark event for the Romanian energy sector, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Energy. The event brings together, again this year, representatives of central and local authorities, energy companies, cybersecurity specialists and experts from the academic environment, in a constructive dialogue about the challenges and solutions that define the resilience of the energy sector. Over 350 participants are expected, confirming the interest and need for a common framework for collaboration between industry, administration and the private sector. The first day’s program includes three thematic panels and two presentation sessions, which will address current topics such as: Norms and regulations for the protection of critical systems in the era of artificial intelligence; Security vs. interoperability, utilities vs. users; Business resilience in the midst of cyber warfare. The second day will be dedicated to a strategic panel, focused on strategies for securing critical systems. The Cluj Forum thus confirms its status as an essential platform for the exchange of ideas, best practices and partnerships, actively contributing to the consolidation of the cybersecurity culture in the energy sector in Romania. “In the era of accelerated digitalization, cybersecurity is no longer just an option, but a fundamental condition for the stability of energy infrastructures and for the safety of society as a whole. We are at a crossroads, in which emerging technologies – from artificial intelligence to automation – create extraordinary opportunities, but also open up new fronts of vulnerability. Romania must strengthen its capacity to react and anticipate in the face of these challenges, and the energy sector has an essential role in the architecture of national security”, says Mihaela Rodica Suciu, General Manager, Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania For more information about the event, speakers and the event agenda, visit the official website: www.cyberenergy.ro
