Apple Maps Will Be Getting More Ads From Next Year: Know More

Apple wants to bring ads to its products, seeing it as another big source of increasing its revenue. And a new report suggests the Apple Maps users will have to get used to seeing more ads more next year onwards. Apple makes a lot of money by selling its iPhones, Macs and iPads but the company wants to make more money and for that it will push ads across its apps in the near future. We have already seen this change happen with the App Store and reports claim Apple could bring ads to Maps for users as well. Apple Maps Ads: Can’t Ignore Anymore iPhone users can see apps recommended in the form of ads in the App Store, and Maps could follow a similar path. Apple is clearly seeing its route to big revenue cut off by lower-than-expected iPhone sales, while other devices drop even more. The company already has millions of iPhone users, and businesses will be happy to pay the premium that allows them easy reach to these customers. Just like apps, these companies can display their brands prominently within Maps, and maybe have their brand icons easily seen on the platform. This model is nothing new and won’t be the last time we hear a tech brand resort to these plans. Google has dished out ads on Maps for years so it gives Apple the right model to test and evaluate before the official roll out gets closer. But this is Apple and its products cost a lot more than what you pay for an Android phone/tablet in the market. We have often heard the reasons for having ads is linked to the cost of making a device and selling it. Apple has neither of those on its side, so it will purely feature as a business move which is unlikely to go down well with the consumers. We have been critical of companies bringing pre-loaded apps, ads and other elements to their mid-range as well as premium products. Apple only caters to the high-end segment, and these people might not be liking the direction that Tim Cook and Co. are taking in the next few years.
