Cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure are down, with thousands of users reporting an outage online. Problems began around 3.30pm, with Xbox and Minecraft players also recording issues, according to Downdetector. Platforms that rely on these cloud services are also impacted, such as Microsoft 365, Outlook, Starbucks, Costco and Kroger. On Downdetector, people are flagging problems with applications such as Snapchat, Roblox, Fortnite, Duolingo and Canva. One person even claimed Playstation is having problems, writing: "PlayStation in Europe isn't able to launch online games cause of this, fix this it's been OVER 20 HOURS". On Wednesday, Microsoft announced ongoing “network availability” issues on Azure. They wrote: “We are taking two concurrent actions where we are blocking all changes to the AFD services and at the same time rolling back to our last known good state." On the Azure website, they state: “Starting at approximately 16:00 UTC, customers and Microsoft services that leverage Azure Front Door (AFD) may have experienced issues resulting in latencies, timeouts and errors. "We have confirmed that an inadvertent configuration change as the trigger event for this issue.” In a statement from AWS, they report no ongoing problems with the service. They wrote: “AWS is operating normally.
