An AEW star recently pitched to reunite with his former tag team partner after the two separated due to real-life differences. Ortiz, one of the top tag team performers, used to tag with Mike Santana. The Proud and Powerful used to dominate the tag team division, but unfortunately, never climbed to the top. Santana then refused to team up with Ortiz as he wanted to become a singles star.In 2023, the two stars wrestled each other while they had real-life heat. After their breakup, Mike left the Jacksonville-based promotion and went on to become a TNA World Champion. Meanwhile, Ortiz is still All Elite and has one year left on his contract. He is currently producing and coaching backstage in AEW.While speaking with Wombreezy, the Funky Munkey revealed that he will readily reconcile with Mike Santana in the future and once again reunite with him."If there was an opportunity, depending on the circumstances, I would say, I think with time I will definitely be open to it. Yeah, I’m a believer too, never say never because anything can happen, just the stars align the right way and it makes all the sense in the world for it to happen. There is definitely a part of me that says yes right away, and there is a part of me that’s hesitant," he said.
