Following the conclusion of the three-match ODI series, India will face the Australian team now in a five-match T20I series. The series opener will be played at Manuka Oval in Canberra on October 29, and the next four matches will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Hobart, Gold Coast and Brisbane on October 31, November 2, 6 and 8, respectively. Seven players who were part of India’s ODI squad are part of the T20I series as well, and they would like to help the Indian team reverse the scoreline in the T20I series. Suryakumar Yadav, who led India to the Asia Cup title win last month, will lead the side, and ODI captain Shubman Gill is his deputy. Except for Hardik Pandya, who is out of action these days due to an injury suffered ahead of Asia Cup 2025, all other 14 players that played in the Asia Cup 2025 are part of the squad, and as Pandya’s replacement, India included Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar – both of whom played in the ODI series. Here’s a look at the complete list of changes in the Indian team for the five-match T20I series against Australia from the recently concluded three-match ODI series: OUT: Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul and Mohammed Siraj played in all three ODI matches against Australia, but they are not part of the T20I squad, along with Prasidh Krishna, who played the third ODI in Sydney. In addition to them, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel will also return to India, as they were not picked for the T20I series. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli played all three ODI matches, but they are not active T20I players anymore. IN: Suryakumar Yadav, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Jitesh Sharma, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah, Sanju Samson and Rinku Singh are nine players who have joined the Indian squad in Australia for the T20I series starting Wednesday. Surya will lead the visitors, and Samson is all set to be India’s first-choice wicketkeeper-batter. Bumrah, who is arguably the greatest Indian bowler of all time, will lead the pace attack, and world No. 1 T20I batter Abhishek Sharma will open the innings.
