Police are investigating a daring robbery in which five men disguised in black hijabs stormed a California mini mart yesterday morning and escaped with thousands of dollars in cash. Around 11.06 a.m., the group entered Croisee Discount Mini Mart along the Southern Main Road. Two were armed with guns, one had a cutlass and one carried a hammer. They approached two female cashiers on duty and announced a hold-up. The suspects emptied the cash registers of the day’s sales and also stole one cashier’s Samsung A14 cellphone. The men then moved to the manager’s office and took $6,000 in float money. The manager pressed the panic button, setting off an alarm, and the five suspects ran out and escaped in a silver Nissan Note. The black hijabs worn by all five suspects concealed their identities throughout the robbery.
