Former Barcelona star Thierry Henry believes they cannot win the UEFA Champions League trophy with their current setup. This comes after the Blaugrana drew 3-3 against Club Brugge at Jan Breydel Stadium on Wednesday, November 5.Nicolo Tresoldi gave the hosts the lead in the sixth minute, but Ferran Torres restored parity two minutes later. Carlos Forbes then made it 2-1 for Club Brugge in the 17th minute, but Barcelona equalized again with Lamine Yamal in the 61st minute. Forbs added another two minutes later. An own goal from Christos Tzolis in the 77th minute secured a draw for the Blaugrana. Club Brugge thought they had scored the winner in the 90th minute through Romero Vermant. However, it was controversially ruled out for what was deemed a foul on Wojciech Szczesny. After the game, Thierry Henry criticized Barcelona's defense, saying on CBS Sports Golazo:"The co-ordination [in defence] is so bad. You can’t win the Champions League like this, it’s very difficult. It’s this game [against Club Brugge], it’s against Paris Saint-Germain, last year it was against Benfica, then it was the Clasico, then it was Inter.""As we all know, I played for Arsenal, I played for Juve, I won a lot of stuff at Barcelona, for me to say that… it pains me to say that because I don’t want to talk about my old club like that. But you have to call a spade a spade. You can’t carry on defending like this. Every time hoping to score three or four, to be the team, not now, not in the modern era of football, you can’t defend like that," he added. The Blaugrana are 11th in the Champions League standings with two wins, one draw, and one defeat in four games.Hansi Flick backs his system despite Barcelona's draw against Club BruggeThe Spanish giants won the domestic treble and reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals last season under Hansi Flick. However, their performances have been underwhelming this campaign, with criticism leveled at their high line and defense.Flick, however, has asserted that he will not change his system. After their 3-3 draw against Club Brugge, the German said (h/t Metro):"Last season, we wouldn’t have conceded that first goal. We don’t have the same confidence when playing the offside trap. We won’t change our way of defending. "In midfield, we didn’t press well, and it was difficult to defend against their players with pace. We need to analyse the draw and see where we can improve," he added.Barcelona will next face Celta Vigo away in LaLiga on Sunday, November 9, before the international break. They are second in the league standings, five points behind leaders Real Madrid.
