Beloved ’80s film star Diane Franklin is best known for Better Off Dead, but she’s making waves in 2025 with her chic bikini photos. The actress, 63, is racking up the likes on Instagram with her bathing suit photos that make it clear that age is just a number. Known for iconic flicks like Better Off Dead, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, How I Got into College, and TerrorVision, Franklin is doing better than ever these days. In addition to still acting frequently, Franklin has hit the beach in the last week and floored followers with her photos. In the most recent shot, Franklin sported a shiny silver bikini with her curly hair in a towering ponytail. “I interrupt this convention with a beach moment…🔥🔥🔥,” she captioned the photo. She told The Pitch Kansas City that those memorable roles have allowed her to tour and meet legions of fans. “I’m really fortunate that I’m able to go to a lot of different types of conventions just based on my past work,” says Franklin. “And I have to tell you, it’s so fun. I think it’s just because I’ve been acting for so long and I appreciate doing conventions and being remembered for the films, because not everybody is remembered.” Franklin is Also a Horror Film Icon In addition to being a comedy star thanks to Better Off Dead, Franklin holds a place in horror history. She made her film debut with Amityville II: The Possession in 1982. She’s dipped her toes in other horror films, including The Amityville Murders and Waking Nightmare.
