Roger Goodell is defending the NFL‘s decision to select Bad Bunny as the performer for the Super Bowl LX Halftime show. The NFL’s commissioner reiterated that the league made the decision carefully and would not reconsider it despite pushback from conservative media. “He’s one of the leading and most popular entertainers in the world,” Goodell said during the NFL’s fall meeting. “That’s what we try to achieve. It’s an important stage for us. It’s an important element to the entertainment value. It’s carefully thought through.” He continued, “I’m not sure we’ve ever selected an artist where we didn’t have some blowback or criticism. That’s hard to do when you have literally hundreds of millions of people that are watching. But I feel confident that it’s going to be a great show.
