Friday, November 7 Green Room at Upper House x CMYK What: Upper House is celebrating 16 years of hospitality as it hosts Manila’s Toyo Eatery for a dinner, before CMYK co-founder Ethan Liu takes over in the Green Room for a guest shift after party. Named Asia’s 16th best bar and based in Changsha, CMYK prioritises cocktails that are delicious and accessible, perfect for a celebration at one of the tallest dining rooms in the city. Where: The Green Room, Level 49, Upper House, Pacific Place, 88 Queensway, Admiralty When: 9pm onwards Saturday, November 8 Crossip – A Clear Head, Strong Cause Movember Campaign What: Non-alcoholic spirit Crossip and its distribution partner Spiritu are partnering with Mind HK to spearhead a Movember campaign that focuses on supporting mental health. Throughout the entire month, some of Hong Kong’s best bars are offering signature sips made with Crossip’s spirits – the proceeds of which will be donated to Mind HK – while also shining the spotlight on the fact that “choosing not to drink is a powerful and positive choice”, according to an official statement. A total of 12 bars have joined the initiative, including Aer, both the Causeway Bay and Sheung Wan venues for Corks, Courtroom, Dead Poets, Kinsman and more. In particular, Socio has created the Movember Mindset Mule, which combines Crossip Fresh Citrus, lime juice, ginger beer, sparkling water, agave syrup and lavender sprigs, while Kinsman are giving us the Bloody Mary Maggi, made with Crossip Dandy Smoke, Thai boat noodle reduction, tomato, prik nam som, Maggi seasoning, citrus and pork blood curd. Bar director Tony Pescatori and co-founder Taisiya Mamakova are representing the bar as they bring Noble Roots’ field-to-glass approach alongside Belgrade-inspired cocktails and botanicals in a celebration of Balkan mixology.
