ISLAMABAD, Nov 3 (APP): The Xinjiang–Pakistan Working Group on Economic Cooperation on Monday held its third virtual meeting, providing an important platform for both sides to review ongoing collaboration and explore new avenues for mutually beneficial cooperation. The meeting was co-chaired by Secretary of the Economic Affairs Division of Pakistan, Humair Karim, and Vice Chairman of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China, Keiser Keyum, a news release said. The agenda of the meeting broadly encompassed discussions on enhancing border trade and deepening cooperation in the fields of agriculture, science and technology, health, and education. Both sides engaged in a constructive and meaningful dialogue aimed at strengthening bilateral economic ties and promoting sustainable regional development. Delegates from Pakistan and Xinjiang presented detailed proposals focused on improving the livelihoods of local communities and further consolidating existing areas of cooperation. The participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing economic integration and fostering people-to-people linkages under the framework of China–Pakistan economic collaboration.
