Former WWE head writer Vince Russo spoke about his new role in a wrestling promotion. He recently joined Juggalo Championship Wrestling. Vince Russo had immense success booking some successful storylines in WWE during the Attitude Era. He has also written shows for other major wrestling promotions like WCW and TNA Wrestling. The veteran writer was out of the pro wrestling landscape for a while, doing podcasts. However, his new stint at JCW marks his return to active wrestling. This week on BroDown with host Mac Davis, Russo recalled that his friends Konnan and Disco Inferno ran a story about him joining the NWA. He noted that while he was contemplating a return to the business, there were a lot of uncertainties involved. He never shared a company name because he wanted it to be a surprise. "So, my good friends Konnan and Disco, who I've known for 26 years, come out with this story about me going to NWA. Now, Mac, I had been talking about contemplating going to work in a wrestling promotion. I walked everybody through the process because getting there had a lot of ups and downs. I was explaining that to everybody; this is what's involved. One day it was on, one day it was off. I never mentioned an organization ever because I knew the bottom line was if I agreed to it, I wanted it to be somewhat of a surprise. I still believe in kayfabe."Vince Russo pointed out that the rumors about him going to the NWA caught fire when Mac Davis sarcastically commented on the same. However, the veteran writer noted that he had already told the host about his gig in JCW. "I had smartened you up. I said, Mac, listen, just so you know, this is what I plan on doing. I swear to God, just a handful of people even knew I was talking to JCW, but I told you. So I come on the show on Friday, and you kinda caught me off guard by sarcastically saying, you're going to NWA."Vince Russo was just announced as an investor in JCW.
