Ridge Holland, who also used his real name Luke Menzies, has been officially moved to the alumni section of WWE’s roster page. This move confirms his departure from the company, which came under contentious circumstances. Holland’s WWE contract was originally set to expire on November 14, 2025. However, the 37-year-old former rugby league player was terminated early. The company opted to end his deal ahead of schedule. Fightful Select was the first to report that this decision was made due to recent social media posts by Holland, which WWE deemed a breach of his contract. Holland, performing as Luke Menzies, recently noted on X (formerly Twitter) that he felt he had been “hung out to dry” by WWE. This post came after he was informed his contract would not be renewed. This news was delivered while Holland is out of action with a significant injury. In the same post, Holland mentioned that he was unsure how he was going to pay his mortgage. Holland is currently recovering from a Lisfranc foot injury. He sustained the injury in September 2025 while performing for TNA as a WWE representative. Holland’s recovery is expected to last until “well into 2026,” and he may also require neck fusion surgery. Despite Holland’s financial issues and his inability to wrestle, Dave Meltzer reported on “Wrestling Observer Radio” that WWE feels Menzies should have known his release was likely. The company’s perspective is that he should have adjusted his finances after he accepted a pay cut in 2024. Meltzer claimed that WWE was planning to cut Holland in 2024 before he worked out the new agreement to move to NXT. WWE informed Holland in mid-October 2025 that his contract would not be renewed, which would have made him a free agent on November 14. However, after he criticized the company on X, WWE fired him, feeling he was in breach of contract. Despite the early termination, WWE is reportedly still obligated to provide for his injury rehab. It was noted that the company would “almost certainly open themselves up to legal action if they didn’t.” Menzies’ contract was officially terminated on November 5, 2025. With his WWE tenure now officially over, his first post-company appearance has been scheduled. Menzies is advertised to appear at the GCW “Dream On Fan Slam” on November 22, 2025, at the American Dream complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This appearance, which was announced by Salvatore Wrestling Promotions, will be for a meet and greet, as he remains unable to compete physically.
