WWE Spot Goes Wrong as Star Accidentally Suffers Injury

WWE Superstar Trick Williams suffered a nasty head injury on Tuesday’s episode of “NXT”. The injury occurred during his attempt to regain the “NXT” Championship from Ricky Saints. Trick Williams and Ricky Saints locked horns in a barnburner of a main event. The match was contested under Last Man Standing rules. Saints ultimately walked away with his reign intact, but Williams put on an impeccable performance. Unfortunately, the former TNA World Champion busted open his head in an unplanned spot during the match. Journalist Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer reported on X/Twitter that the incident was an alarming accident. He noted that Williams hit his head on a metal beam, which busted open his head. While the wrestler himself confirmed to the referee that he could still go, the ref was unsure after the accident. The injury appears to be more grave than it was initially perceived to be. Trick Williams was legitimately busted open after hitting his head on a metal beam during NXT’s main event but continued the match.“Trick split his head open going through the barricade and accidentally hitting a metal beam. Alvarez provided specific details about the scary moment and the official’s reaction. “Trick busted his head wide open when he went through the barricade and accidentally hit his head on a metal beam,” Bryan Alvarez wrote. “Ref asked if he was ‘OK?’ And Trick said ‘Yes,’ at which point the ref asked, ‘ARE YOU SURE?’”. The drama did not end there, though, as the “NXT” Champion did not have long to celebrate his successful defense. Post-match, former “NXT” Champion Oba Femi appeared. His appearance seemingly set the stage for a future rematch between him and Saints for the “NXT” Championship. While Williams recovers from his injury, Ricky Saints must now focus on Oba Femi, who confronted him following the main event. The “NXT” brand is currently building toward its next Premium Live Event, “NXT Deadline,” on Saturday, December 7, 2024, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The signature matches for “Deadline” are the Men’s and Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge matches. The winners of those bouts will earn future shots at the “NXT” Championship and “NXT” Women’s Championship, respectively. Although qualifying matches have not yet begun, it is likely Oba Femi will be a participant, aiming to earn another shot at the title he lost. A direct title match between Saints and Femi could also be added to the “Deadline” card in the coming weeks.
